About the NZ Irish Barbarians
The NZ Irish Barbarians are a Under 18 rugby 7s team based in Auckland. Comprising of players of Irish descent, we celebrate our cultural roots through an immersive team camp and competing in the Global Youth Sevens Tournament. Our team isn’t just about rugby; it’s about fostering an Irish community in New Zealand, supporting our players and their families, and sharing our heritage through sport. Join us as we blend rugby with cultural pride, building friendships and representing Ireland in New Zealand.
Our Vision
The NZ Irish Barbarians have assembled to provide an irish cultural experience through rugby for teenage rugby players born in ireland or of irish descent in New Zealand.
Providing an Irish environment through our trainings, camp and ultimately competing in the Global Youth Sevens Tournament, the NZ Irish Barbarians provide a greater understanding of Irish Culture, history and pride to the next generation.
